Classical mechanics (often taught in schools as "Physics A" or "Physics 1") refers to physics in the most basic sense; the motion of objects, and the forces that act on them. Most calculations and techniques are founded upon Newton's laws of motion, though motion itself is represented with vectors. It's recommended, but not required, to go into physics already possessing an understanding of vector addition and vector multiplication (dot products and cross products).
